It's time they did.

01 — Our mission

The world applauds the spotlight. We celebrate the people who make it possible.

Behind every match, every classroom, every ward and every street is someone nobody wrote a song about. The ones who stay late, show up early, and hold things together without being asked.

Unsong Hero will commission original music inspired by overlooked contributions across sport, care, community, education and everyday life. Not jingles. Not tributes on a plaque. Songs good enough to stay with you.

02 — The stories

Songs waiting to be written.

These are illustrative story concepts showing the kinds of lives we want to honour. They are not real recordings or nominated individuals.

Care

The One Who Always Stayed

Every visit ends with the kettle on. Nobody counts the extra twenty minutes. She does it anyway.

Sport

Eyes on the Game

Ninety minutes of being booed, so twenty-two others can play. A song for the whistle.

Education

Before the First Bell

The room is ready before anyone arrives. So is the plan for the kid who's struggling.

Night work

The Last Light On

The city sleeps on a clean floor. The one who mopped it takes the first bus home.

03 — How it will work

Three movements. One rule: care.

This is the planned process. We're building it in the open, with the people it's for.

  1. I

    Notice the unsung

Communities will tell us about the people who quietly hold things up. We listen first, and nothing goes further without the person's own consent.

  2. II

    Turn stories into original music

Songwriters and artists, fairly paid and credited, work from real conversations to write songs that sound like the person, not a press release.

  3. III

    Share the recognition

Each song is shared with the person first, then with the world — on their terms, with care for privacy and how they want to be seen.

04 — The founding campaign

Coming soon: a crowdfunding launch.

We haven't launched a campaign yet and aren't taking money. When we do, founding supporters will hear first. Here's what it will help build.

Tell me when it launches
  • 01

    Original music

Commissioning new songs from emerging and established writers.

  • 02

    Rights-respecting storytelling

Consent, approval and dignity built into every story we tell.

  • 03

    A home for discovery

A platform where these songs — and the people behind them — can be found.

  • 04

    Fair, transparent production

Clear credits, fair pay, and open reporting on where support goes.

  • 05

    Community participation

Ways for supporters to nominate, listen and shape what comes next.

to be heard?
